Z height control¶

The main idea with height control is the ability to focus the laser on the top of the cutting piece and be able to control the depth of cut based on material settings.
There are few ways to zero/home on material top:

• electro mechanical
• optical

There are few references that can be used to add features derived from optical sensing, Glowforge for example, camera is used to place accurately the cutting area bounding box.

Electro mechanical seems more reliable on this environment, with ultrasound being a good potential option,
