Mbed crash?

Hi folks,
I'm having some severe issues with my old (rev 0.1) and new (rev 0.3) LAOS boards.

Somehow only the oldest firmware (laoslaser-12-08-2012.bin) get's past "SD: READY...". And when I upload the latest firmware after this version the latest also suddenly get's past "SD: READY...". Both uploaded trough usb cable and having an empty SDcard.
I don't get why but it works.
