Description
An analogue input for reading the laser current is a good idea and with an analogue input for a optical power sensor
it would give feedback.
It could be used to check for tube health and calibrating the power control PWM after a warm up period or between jobs.
It would allow for remote diagnostics one day

There is one analog in available. However: I would reccommend a custom board with o2c or can bus and amplifier.
Could do visible optic sensor, purple sensor or thermal power meter (peltier?).
Maybe also integrate io for flow sensor an laser pump relay.
Please draft a spec. Perform some tests.
