Description

It would be nice to have sufficient extra IO on the board to support a full RepRap machine with a PWM heated bed and
extruder control with a fan output.

There could be a nice cross fertilisation with the hardware as the RepRap fans like displays, SD card slots and a bit
more CPU capabilities and the Ethernet and USB on board.

If there was a board that could do both at the high end (many RepRap fans like me are happy with the minimalist
g-code interpreter) and perhaps include a slicer on the board.

The IO could just laser labels like pointer laser on, tube current/optical power in (for temperature sensing) and
the extractor fan and water pump and air assist valve outputs could be put on PWM outputs with high current PCB traces.

The laser flow sensors input couls be used as a Z axis limit switch etc.

3d printing was one of the intended uses of the board.
I have a printer running laos board. I compiled the smoothy gcode
Interpreter for the board, a bit of a hack: 4axis stepper, no network, no sd, no temperature
Control.

Temp sensors can be added via I2C. Optional io also. Would like to see a small board with some solid state relays
And temp sensors.

Software should be based on laos (with sd, network, i2c etc) but with small gcode interpreter. E.g. tinyg.
